I think my turbo is puffing a cloud of blue smoke at start up... seems to be getting worse but does go away after maybe 10 seconds of idle or less. this only happens when the car sits.. like overnight. When warm/during driving it doesn't smoke. Just had the head done w/valve seals so I can rule that out. I recently installed a fresh air filter (NAPA brand, not MANN) but don't know why that would have an negative effect. Looking into getting a used turbo. The car is a '93 Aero with the Mitsubishi TD-04. Can I use one from a later Aero? I have found a few on Car Part for 2-300 from 94-98 cars. Will these bolt up to my engine? I don't see why not...
When checking the PCV system, what do I need to look for? I checked the one-way valve from the valve cover to the intake and I could not for the life of me blow air back into the valve cover so that seems okay. What else to check?
