I have been thinking of doing this on one of the fleet and have been collecting information. I would be interested in hearing about your experience if you decide to go ahead and pursue this.
Below is from a similar forum to this ( google saab link) - user name Seriks1 - posting date 7/5/11
"FWIW, I just did this job on a 95 9k aero. Very easy. Harness, TB, aic, tps, throttle cable, and accel pedal. You'll need an ecu from a non-tcs car, or some t5 suite skills (of which I have none) Only thing I have not tackled (and may never) is cruise, but I'm thinking a vacuum system may be easier to install so I used '94 cable, pedal and TB just in case. The pedal is 2 bolts, bracket is already in place in the car but I did have to break the "stop" off the pedal because it hung up on the bracket for the tcs pedal. You could cheat and run a wire from the tcs cable to the new tb, but the tcs pedal has a different pivot point so less throw and you only get about %80 throttle
a/c edit: a/c is also tied into the tcs controller. I bypassed that function by running wires from the tcs controller to the wiring at the plug for the ecu. green/white wire at pin 37 in tcs controller tapped into pin 59 at main ecu. green/red wire at pin 38 of tcs tapped into pin 54 at main ecu. (don't sever the wires, just tap in) pin 38 at my tcs controller had 2 green/red wires, you only want to use 1 of them (or a/c stays engaged ALWAYS, instead of shutting off with the "econ" button). I used trial and error to determine which I needed (if you have the wrong 1 a/c will not engage)"
