The simple answer is the only replacement for a 9000 is another 9000. Good ones are in short supply. If you have to get something else, maybe a nice used Volvo V70 T5-R. Even the newest of them are probably five years old by now though. If you're inclined for another SAAB, a 9-5 Aero wagon is not bad, especially if you want an automatic.
