Typically the problem I have found on two 9000's is that the two(?) aquarium drains emptying into the engine compartment have flat ends that tend to stick together, collect crud and cause water to backup. Good to make sure these are clear of crud and then distort the rubber lips to help prevent refusing of the lips.

I would assume same goes for the drain from the evap.
