I think the actuators are the same on all doors, and on C900s as well. And I don't think they go bad very often.
The door latch works do get corroded internally and the grease dries out and hardens, and it could be there's just too much work there for the actuator to do the pushing and pulling it should.
Once the door is opened up you could try unhooking the actuator and then try to make it do its thing, while watching it, before deciding it's bad. And try pulling the link to the latchworks to see if it is easily moved or very stiff.
Look up on here or on the jopi quasimotors site the routine for removing the door inner panel, but there are lots of fasteners including one on a clip inside under the door courtesy light, and pop fasteners along bottom edge. Biggest trick is how to remove the mirror controls: Grab the black cat's-tongue toggle switch gently with pliers and pull straight out. Tongue slides off and reveals a much skinnier peg. Alongside that peg is black foam rubber, and beneath that rubber is a plastic tab that you push or pry, I foroget which, and then switch works tips out at one end and comes out, revealing a screw.
Once all fasteners are loose, and bottom is pryed out, with window run all the way down so it doesn't interfere with popping top edge up, you pound up hard on the bottom of the door skin, and it will start off the sheet metal beside glass at top.
