On my way home tonight, my '97 9k CSE Turbo shut off twice.

The first time was just short and I popped the clutch and got on the highway *I noticed the clock had completely reset to 0:00. I reset it and all was fine. I drove home 14 miles with no further problems.

Then, as I was coming to my street turn ( I live on the corner), the car shut off and EVERYTHING (headlights, dash lights, I mean everything went dark. Tried to pop the clutch but nothing. Pulled to side of road...lots of weird noises...relays clicking, etc... Then, almost as quickly all lights were normal. But the car will NOT start. Every time I try, everything goes VERY dim...

Could this be a sudden bad ground, battery failure or maybe the keyswitch??

Will jump on this first thing in the morning (car is parked on the side of the street).

Any ideas between then and now would help! Where to start, and what to look for...

Haven't experienced a problem like this at all before, but I have notice over the last 6 months+ that when I start the car the voltage reading usually immediately displays as about 10 to 11 volts.
