I've had more than one bad inner driver. Vibration shows up under load and/or acceleration. You can often tell which side by accelerating uphill on left and right turns when the outer wheel is getting most of the load. If you pivot out the axle and tripod (no need to pull the axle from the hub) and feel the driving faces of the cup with your finger, you'll find indentations on a bad one.
Good luck finding new cups. I just R&Red one on my 98 with one less worn.
