I had an identical problem Posted by Gene N [Email] (#1094) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Gene N) on Wed, 9 Jan 2013 08:42:06 In Reply to: ACC issues in my 1990 9KT, tiemco, Tue, 8 Jan 2013 10:29:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Same situation. I replaced a 1990 9000 ACC with one from a later model. The ACC worked great, but the battery started going dead if the car was parked for a few days. Pulled the negative battery cable and measured the drain and got similar numbers to what you were getting. I tracked it down to the ACC by pulling fuses.
I solved the problem by getting an ACC from another 1990 car. I don't know what changed in the design, but something is wired differently and I couldn't figure out what it was. If someone had a shop manual for the ACC (its own volume, I think), perhaps they could tell you what the difference are.
Unfortunately, I don't know what years work other than the 1990 version.
