...completely pointless. Properly executed double declutching with rev matching is the easiest on your synchronizers as it seeks to use the engine to bring the input shaft (tied to the clutch) up to the same speed as the output shaft (tied to the differential) before selecting a gear so that the synchros do less/no work.
