I'm trying to figure out tires. Since they are expensive and you have to live with them hopefully for 40K that's why I put out the question even after I read all the tire comments. I'm looking for the winter capabilities of an all season tire as the number 1 feature as well as compromised all season capabilities with trade-off for price. These are 205/55/16 VR + tires that I'm looking at. 98-9000 Aero supsension.

I'm looking for real world experiences with the Conti DWS as well as the Nokian WGR2 and Conti PureContct Eco+. Ie tire wear, handling, Snow, etc

If there is anybody out there with the new Conti PureContact EcoPlus knowledge any input would be appreciated.

Talking with various dealers the Contis aren't as well QCed as the Nokian, Balance, etc. One dealer recommended based upon their experiences that the DSW needs to be rotated at 3-5k to get the recommended mileage. He also said that it appears that the tread even though they quote 10/32s is much deeper than the new Conti Pure Contact EcoPlus. Another Dealer said he's seen them wear out in 20K. So what's the truth on a 9000?

The Nokian (Vianor- Nokian owned) Dealer said Saabs are tough because of the suspension set-up as to the longevity of the tire. Yet the fellow I talked with has Nokians WRG2s on 2 of his vehicles and said he could buy any tire he wanted but chose the Nokians and he used to work for Goodyear.

The new grand touring Conti PureContact EcoPlus has a somewhat harder rubber compound but it's only about 4-5 months old so no history. 70K mileage warranty, similar tread pattern but not the same as the DSW. It took the consumer reports 1st place for and all season. Tire rack put it up against the regulars and it came in 2nd or 3rd in a V rated tire.

So the bottom line is I need tires ASAP to get an inspection sticker. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff
