Lately my 92 9000S is not running well when it gets hot outside.

I have no problems driving to work in the mornings 35-45 min drive. But in the afternoons when it's hot and getting stuck in stop and go driving for 45-50min, it starts missing/hesitating and loosing power to the point I can't get it to stay running above 1000 rpm.

I've tried 3 known good DI cassettes, with the same result. Runs fine in the AM and problems in the afternoon.

Did this to me again on Friday and I just made it into the driveway before it died and would not start at all. Swapped out the DI for one of the other good ones and still no start. I jumped the fuel pump - fuse 14 is jumped to fuse 21 and pump was running. Still no start.

Let the car sit for about 30min and it started up again.

It does give me a check engine light when this happens, but it clears off the next morning.

Guess it's time for a crank sensor....the one thing I have not replaced in my car since I got it 7 years ago, and I have no idea how old the crank sensor in it is....the car has over 276,000 miles on it now.
