My 96cse 242k is getting too rusty to have much of a future except as a parts car. I'm therefore only fixing mission critical stuff. Fuse 16 recently started blowing on me. It's a strong short to ground and fries the fuse instantly. After looking at the circuit diagram in the Haynes manual I disconnected the central locking module and switchpack, set the interior light switch to off, closed the doors, ignition off, fuse still blows.
The only thing I really care about is the backup light. What else can I easily disable or eliminate before I start looking for chafed wires?
