What is a "Red Spring"? Posted by Bill Homer [Email] (#3427) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Bill Homer) on Mon, 24 Feb 2014 14:42:15 In Reply to: Front-end woes, Ben, Mon, 24 Feb 2014 08:25:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A pretty paint job does not make a good spring - and I have read elsewhere (Volvo 1800 bulletin board in particular) of people complaining bitterly of bad aftermarket springs.
Re alignment, there is not much to align on a SAAB 9000; unless you add aftermarket parts, the only thing you can adjust on a stock car is toe-in. If you have lowered the car, you are probably outside of the recommended specs for camber as a result, and probably need to add camber adjusting bolts to the front struts to correct this. Have you had the rear camber and toe measured? Are your tires pulling to one side (easy enough to check by rotating the tires)?
