Hello all! This past week my '96 CS just cracked 200k! Many thanks to everyone on this board, couldn't have kept a 9000 on road for the past 12 years w/o you guys. Hats off! It would have left me stranded the week prior
when the belt popped off and was shredded on a 4 lane. I can't blame the car because it did give me a warning a few days before. I changed the tensioner pulley after hearing strange noises from that area but couldn't really pinpoint from where. Also the belt had jumped 1 notch up onto the a/c pulley outer lip. Should have changed the belt too. Instead, I threw an old belt and tools into the back. I was able to change the belt on the shoulder of that 4 lane in the middle of the day with cars and semis whizzing past!
Anyway, brand new inspection stickers yesterday, going for another 100k!
