Passenger side Headlight Dim ONLY after re-starting car

Meaning...if I start the car for my first journey of the day, everything is fine. When I turn the ignition off and restart the car, the Pictogram comes on and the passenger side light goes dim. Next day, everything is fine at first and then scenario repeats itself. I have new H1 headlamps, new fuses in engine bay fuse block, new daytime running light fuse in main panel, new big red relay and tried 5 other used orange relays. Same issue. Car is an 1996 Aero automatic with 251,000kms on the clock.
Grounds seem OK but maybe I need to check more? Can it possibly be the battery? It is an old red Optima. Probably 10-12 years old...yes I'm serious on the age. No problems starting, etc. The only reason why I would even think it is the battery is remembering my old 97 Aero. When it was time for a new battery, I installed a different brand (Canadian Tire) battery and my SID? display, with the clock, would not illuminate sometimes. When I changed the battery to a new stock AC Delco, no problems whatsoever. The other brand was new with even more CCA. I remember thinking "why on any level would this matter", but SAAB's are apparently quirky, and this qualified as quirky.
Thanks
Norm
