Yup Intermediate Shaft failed

Failure was worn down splines at the differential end - differential output shaft mates with one end of intermediate shaft. I'm guessing at this point failure was due to long worn away factory applied grease.
Recommend to anyone installing an intermediate shaft to smear small amount of high % moly grease on each end. 60% moly grease is made by Honda and is used on motorcycle splines. More on the R+R later.
