Hello everyone,
I have to announce that the time has come for me to move on from Saab. I've owned my Silver 1995 9000 Aero 5mt since 2006 and have covered 190K miles on it bringing the car to 233K miles. My experience of the SAAB has not been without its drawbacks, but overall, I firmly believe that my 9000 Aero will be the best car I will have ever owned. Nothing does everything quite as well as these cars do.
Many systems were starting to have issues with the car at a rate that I had trouble justifying the cost to fix. Especially considering the transmission needed replacement (have been nursing 3rd gear for 70K miles).
So I have moved on to a 2012 Buick Regal GS with a 6MT. Yep a turbo 4cyl sedan with a manual. Though a good car, i went into this knowing that it wont be as versatile or economical as the 9k. Wish i had the space to keep the 9k.
Thanks everyone who has posted on this board. You guys really are the best community out there for cars, and I'm so grateful for the experience I've had learning how to take care of these cars from some of the friendliest folks . I wish everyone out there the best, keep the torch alive.
Maybe one day when I have enough space I'll find a way back in to the fold.
