always check your cables first.
However, I had an ECU I had to replace because it was doing what yours is doing. If you haven't bought a spare ECU yet, do it. You will need it. They are not as bulletproof as people say. I have 3, and all of them have had different problems. The boost circuits are so bad they are bad on all of mine. I have to use a combination ball/spring boost valve and use good gas to make sure my car runs right. If you get a spare one you can take all the plastic out of yours and bake it at 300 for 8 minutes.. that usually fixes all the bad traces that cause problems like yours.
good luck. I never had internal engine failure causing a no start condition over 400000 miles until this month. make sure you have compression. if the starter turns over fast and it doesn't chug cylinder
to cylinder like usual when cranking you may have lost timing and bent valves. If you take off your valve cover and see your lifter caps stuck down and not touching the cam on either cam you know it's all over.
