Will go with Nissens Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Sat, 30 May 2015 07:27:26 In Reply to: Re: Nissens radiator from eeuro? I think I'll go with the Nissens radiator, it seems the safest bet. Interesting point about the plug for the fan switch hole. I think I have an old thermo-switch from my 900 laying around and can use that as a more robust plug if I can find it. (Cheapest I could find on Eeuro was about $10.)
Got the old radiator out, it didn't take long. The rubber grommet at the top is in pretty bad shape (tearing apart) but Eeuro doesn't seem to have a replacement, will probably try to fix it up with some RTV. When the bolt is tightened that will tend to hold it together anyway.
I notice my aftermarket "Uro" PCV hose is splitting apart, and it's not all that old. It's expensive for such a poor quality part so I may try wrapping it with friction tape and using wire ties to hold it all together. That treatment has held my turbo inlet hose together for years now.
