Nivomat shocks were the self leveling ones. My 1990 9000 turbo (hatchback) had them, and I believe the 9000 4 door turbo sedans had them also. The Griffin was a 4 door, if I remember correctly.
They worked pretty well, but were quite expensive to replace. A lot of people would replace the springs with ones from a non-leveling car and use normal shocks when the Nivomats wore out because of the cost.
