Essentially correct. After removing the two Torx screws from the red lens (4) 8 mm nuts w/washers become visible that secure the lower part of the lamp housing to the rear deck lid. Removing these, then cutting the black/white wire leads to the connector and cutting the washer fluid line permits you to remove the complete lamp and washer nozzle while retaining the lamp socket power connector.
