Turn the ignition key to the first "ON" position, before the starter is engaged. Look at the "CHECK ENGINE" light in the central lower display: if there are any faults the light will flash a number of times. Count the flashes and make sure that there is only one fault. If more than one fault, the faults will alternate, i.e. six flashes followed by three flashes. Look up the codes by doing a search on this site.
Here is a list of the "flash codes" that I found in anouther post by doing a search.
Fault codes (number of flashes):
2 Manifold absolute pressure sensor
3 Intake air temperature sensor
4 Coolant temperature sensor
5 Throttle position sensor
6 Oxygen sensor
7 Fuel-air mixture
8 EVAP valve (ELCD)
