Intake Manifold question. Posted by Rociero [Email] (#1324) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Rociero) on Sun, 6 Nov 2016 23:33:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I was looking into putting a 1994-1998 Turbo Intake Manifold P/N: 9177148 on my 1992 SAAB 9K 2.3 Turbo. Before I do it, I need to know if someone has done it and how much modification (if any) have to be done. I still have the Original Intake Manifold that came with the car.
Why? because the 1994-98 does not have all the Rubber Bushing/Grommets for the all the Vacuum lines going to it. Had one rubber Bushing/grommet sucked in and the Engine rev to the max and by the time I could pull off the road, the Turbo was Glowing Red. I had to change the Turbo after that incident because it was blowing blue smoke right after. Trying to avoid the same problem again by changing the Intake Manifold without all those rubber Bushing/grommets.
Thank you all.
