As of all hallows eve, I've been fortunate to have a bunch of good drives in this 'new' car & little time or opportunities to work on it due to things beyond my control like weather & available garage usage which is 100+ miles away from home.
The key situation will be remedied as soon as I can meet up with a mobile locksmith in NH who has a reasonable rate for cutting sidewinder keys & now I have 2 blanks ready for that effort.
Thankfully that will be affordabl & postpone any need to change out the locks.
Controller-wise, the central locking is now inoperative - but easy enough to go without & that is likely how it will stand for a time.
More urgent is the strangeness with the headlights - which would be amusing except that I need to get under the hood just about every time I need to use the headlights !!
Only one side usually comes on initially & switching them from low to high is also screwy - UNTIL:
I get under there and yank at least the main relay box and whack it back in, and sometimes I have to yank both & then the lights will be fine until the car sits overnight or so again.
Having looked at the terminals they plug into I can also affirm that they are clean & not burned, so I tried a few spares with similar results & have just been coping with things as they are.
But otherwise - its an Aero - and a great happiness to drive !!
