Since I've been stuck at home past few months I've been hitting the internet looking for a project car. I found it, 15 minutes from my home. Be careful what you wish for. The car was a lien sale at a storage area, owner paid for a year and never came back. This Aero has been sitting for 7 years! It's not perfect and needs help but I got time on my hands due to lack of work. I've made a instagram channel to follow (@grabbinggearschannel) if anyone's interested. I'm always open to suggestions on what path to take with issues that are arising daily. I put a new battery in and car fired up, I couldn't believe it. I turned car off to add fresh fuel and it fired up again, no problem. I then turned car off to put some tools away to see if I could put it in gear and free up the calipers for a ride around the block. The problem was the car wouldn't start, it cranked but wouldn't catch. I'm thinking it's the crank position sensor, but it could be fuel delivery. The pump runs, I can hear it when I turn key 2 notches. It's possible I stirred up some sludge on bottom of tank when I put in 5 gallons of 91 octane (The tank was empty when I put key in first time FYI).
I noticed the OEM SAAB 9000 CPS is no longer available and hoping to get feed back on brand recommendation to order.
Thanks for your feedback in advance.
