Hello,
Unfortunately being a 1997 your car probably uses the later round one instead of the rubber block style used earlier. So the wire ties will probably not help you. But since Saab superseded the rubber block style to the round one maybe you can find an older rubber block style one and use it. The rubber blocks were still available recently but I don't know if the metal brackets are available. Also I am not sure if the 900 brackets would fit but they use the same shift shaft seal so it probably comes down to if the overall length is correct. I just looked at a 1994 gearbox I have and it has half the bracket on it. I think I have the shifter from that car in storage. Let me know if you would like me to see if they are the same as the 900 coupler. Ofcourse I have to go to a different place to find the 900 coupler brackets. Let me know if no one else knows. Good Luck Bernie
