'97 CS - no blower motor. Checked resistor and control head. Posted by Nixter [Email] (#680) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Nixter) on Wed, 21 Dec 2022 10:02:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Checked other posts on Saabnet and could not find any hints.
1997 9000 CS. New fan motor, tested before installation. Fuse is good. Unplugged the motor from the wiring harness; there is positive power at the plug from the vehicle. Positive to ground on that same plug shows nothing. Plugged the motor in the positive only and shorted the motor ground directly to body; fan runs at full speed, speed control has no effect. With this and checking the wiring diagram, it looks like the fan speed control is thru the ground.
Given this, I changed out to (4) different control heads and (3) different resistors. Still no fan. Changed the interior temp sensor. Still nothing. As of now I am stumped. Any suggestions from the collective out there?
Thanks!
