Ball joint brands and availability Posted by JerseySaab [Email] (#666) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JerseySaab) on Sun, 19 Mar 2023 09:00:28 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My '97 CSE recently developed a clunk in the front end on the driver's side, checking on it the ball joint is worn out. My usual go-to suppliers, eeuroparts and esaabparts, are both backordered.
FCPEuro has Moog joints in stock, labeled as "OEM" which seems kind of doubtful, and Meyle joints available in 2-3 weeks. Autozone has ball joints available for delivery, as does NAPA. Rockauto shows TRW, Moog, and Delphi brands available.( Also a few "economy" brands which I assume are complete garbage.)
Which to choose? Although it doesn't look like too tough a job I'd rather not have to redo it any time soon. Fortunately I have other vehicles to use, including another 9000, while waiting to repair this.

(It looks like twinsaabs.com/fixmysaab.com is gone - bummer!)
