9-5 V6 Stalling

On two separate occasions, my 9-5 stalled while driving. The car started up and ran just fine afterwards. I have had no other problems and the two incidents were not very close together (about a month or two apart). After the first one, I took my car in for its 20k mile check-up and my Saab mechanic told me everything was fine. A car fanatic friend of mine told me that, with automatic transmissions, sometimes after slowing down from high speed driving some type of timing mechanism related to the gears can cause the car to stall out (I don't remember his wording). Should I be concerned about this or is this relatively normal? The car is, afterall, running completely fine except for those two isolated incidents. Is this related to any of the recalls I have read about? I thought the ECU problem had to do with some kind of casing, nothing electronic or related to actual engine management.
