If your system "Needs" a charge there must be a reason (leak) Have you found out why? Just adding coolant won't do anything in the long run. The system should be checked for leaks, pulled down with a vacuum pump and then coolant, a "measured amount" either by pressure or weight, be put back in.
To little or too much can damage the system.
