It seems that your problem is with the intesity of the backlighting in the Car Computer, Radio, and the clock. Is this correct? If so, the Car Computer and clock are controlled by the same photoelectric diode, and the radio has it's own diode. If you look closely on both, you'll notice a small circular dot (about 1/8" in diameter) that is slightly greyish in the middle. To test, wait until it's dark outside. Using a small flash light, shine it directly into the diode for a few seconds. You'll notice the back lighting become maximum. Then, put your finger over the diode and, if everything is working properly, the lights should dim.
hope that helps
