Let talk more about boost. Posted by paul [Email] (#792) [Profile/Gallery] (more from paul) on Sun, 29 Oct 2000 12:56:01 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I noted w/great interest RichCSUltra's post about faulty PCV valves being cause for boost problems. In my opinion this is an often overlooked item/problem in all vehicles. Curiously I checked the valve in my 92T. Sure enough, it's blown. The engine runs great however this might explain the slight turbo lag and the fact that boost never goes into the red, not to mention oil weeping from the valve cover seal (that pressure got's to go out somewhere). I'm going to go out and get a new valve first thing in the morning. This is one item that should be checked regularly during service and be replaced every 2-years as a prvtv mnt measure. Thanks Rich for bringing this up.
