I know that there is a lot of talk about the inferiority of the 9000 manual tranny compared to the 900. I have spent the last week driving a '92 900 turbo and find that not only is the tranny smoother but the gears seem to be better matched than in the 9000. Are the gearing ratios in the 900 siginificantly different than in the 9000. Are the aero's gearing ratio's closer to a 900 than the non aero 9000.
Finally if the unthinkable does happen and I need a tranny rebuild can an Aero's tranny be inserted for a '93 9k turbo. Or are the trannies different in other ways.
