Chad, you're on the right track in looking at the DI (check for cracks and oil seepage; if you get any sort of stumbling or misfiring under acceleration that means either the plugs are shot (good thing to check, too) or the DI is on its way out) and the vacuum lines. You'll no doubt at some point have to face the dreaded TCS monster, and there's really no way to check it for impending failure. I'd also suggest looking at the motor mounts. 85K is about when you'd expect the originals to be worn, if they haven't already been replaced. If your car is a stick and has the original clutch, that's something else to look at.
Do you smell antifreeze in the passenger compartment when you start the car? If so, that means you probably have a leaking heater core. You should check to see whether or not your car has ever had the SRS recall work done; what this entails is the checking of the airbag module to determine whether or not it's been affected by liquid contamination. If it has, the service technician will replace it and install a cover to protect it. In many cases you may get a fresh heater core, if yours is leaking. You need to tell the dealer that you smell coolant in the passenger compartment before they start the recall work.
When these cars run well, they're rocket sleds and handle beautifully. I've had mine for four years, and while it's cost me more this year than I'd anticipated, it still has lots of life left in it (I've got 98K on mine).
Good luck.
