Replace the thermostat. If you live in a hot climate, go with the lower-temp.-to-open one, either way, it is a quick and inexpensive fix. I replaced mine myself but it took a little time to remove hoses and brackets to get at it. The thermostat should be under $25.00 and labor about 45 minutes max.
