The problem is likely the linkage rod inside the door. It becomes slightly longer over time. You will need to pull the interior panel. Inside you will see the linkage. As you pull on the inside handle, you will see that the latch will not open. Now, while pulling the inside handle, pull a bit on the linkage rod. If the latch is lubricated properly, it will drop open. You can shorten the linkage rod slightly by putting a two kinks in it, thus keeping the same angle towards the back of the door and keeping the rod in the plastic holders.
