I have a software that's very similar to zeke's in my 97 9K Aero (5 spd) and am extremely pleased. My software comes directly from Saab via a "connection", but there is a lot of software around that runs similar to mine.
What you would want to ask them is:
- What is peak boost and at which rpm?
- What is the boost level at peak power (usually around 5500-5600 rpm)?
- What is base boost?
- Does the software limit boost in 1st and 2nd gear?
There are a multitude of questions one would like to ask such as EGT readings etc etc...but you probably won's get a straight answer...
But like zeke says, pretty damn nice software can be had around here for appr. 500 USD.
It's very safe to say that zeke's car develops 260 hp... I know for a fact that a car with that software, 3", K&N and performance headers has dynoed @ 306 hp...
Later,
Karl
