Since you don't seem to be getting a whole lot of response, I'll weigh in with a modest opinion. I think all of the above models you have mentioned are very good choices. The CS is likely to be your best buy as there are fewer bells and whistles, and less buying interest in this model. The Aero is likely to be your worst buy for the same reasons, plus chances are good that the car has been beaten. The '98CSE has the same engine and many of the options of the Aero, so that may be worth looking at.
I think that the most important thing that you need to look at, after you have decided you like the car, is the maintenence history. The second most important thing is having a great Saab mechanic check the car out before you buy. It is easy to drop a few thousand into repair on these cars, and someone may have a reason for getting rid of it. It is also a good bet that if the car is near a major maintenence it has not been done. Figure $500-1000.
