There is also another problem that casuses this. Check to see if the "O" ring in the oil pump is leaking. If so get it fixed. The oil can leak out and get into the Hall effect sensor. This is detected by the RPM indicator going to zero.
You can live with this problem, but eventually it will cause the car to stop when hot, and you will have to wait for about 30minute before it will restart.
