Sounds like your reservoir got low and you sucked air into your hydraulic clutch system. Try refilling the reservoir and bleeding the system (from the slave cylinder bleeder screw in the inspection opening of the trans. bellhousing). If action does not return, here are some checks to perform (these are a copy from a previous post).
CHECK YOUR SLAVE CYLINDER/FLUID LINES
If it's the slave cylinder or fluid lines, you will usually notice leaking of the clutch fluid (low level in the brake fluid reservoir). I would first check the level--if it's low, refill it and check for leaks.
CHECK THE MASTER CYLINDER/CLUTCH
If it is not low and you see no leaks, check the operation of the slave cylinder. Have someone press the pedal and watch to see if the slave cylinder moves the correct distance (~1 cm). If it does, then you have a clutch problem (clutch seized).
If you have no leaks and no slave cylinder movement, it is probably your master cylinder (internal piston seal or spring failure). It is also much cheaper to replace the master cylinder--you don't have to remove the tranny since it is located in the driver's side floorboard.
