Should I replace my trans oil when I change the clutch?

I'm going to have the clutch changed on my '87 9kT in the next month or so and was wondering if I should have the trans oil changed too. Since my car has no drain plug I figure this would be the only good opportunity to do so. The car has 243k and I assume the trans oil is original. It shifts reasonably well with somewhat notchy synchros. Any opinions appreciated, and of course I would have it refilled with 10W-30 dino.
Thanks!
Craig
