Hey SaabLover-I've used a few-I'm currently in Rockland/Wchstr area now. I can highly recommend (I swear by) Town & Country in Pound Ridge NY. Its northern wstchstr-near CT-so if youre in jersey its a hike but worth it. They are a small shop dedicated to keeping these cars on the road-tons of old 900's and 9K's 914-764-5588. They are also very very reasonable and have never done a bit of unnecessary work on my car-unlike ramsey (who should be shut down). Elite autoworks in west nyack (rockland-near the palisades mall) was our previous but he's pricey and you'll have to wait forever to get an appt 914-624-9000. As for Jersey-on an emergency basis I used Hans foreign auto in Oakland but he's a volvo guy and not a Saab fan-he'll tell you so-but they do a solid job 201-337-1919??. On the Jersey note-Ive heard only good things about Reinertsen in Denville. If you are in a bind-Parkfield motors in Bergenfield does fair work but they are a dealer-w've bought from them as it's a small place that gets the "saab" idea but their labor is at dealer price and I feel that my current indy is far superior...best dealer work would be Saab of Wstchstr in briarcliff-near bill & hill in Chappaqua but also $$ for the work and too close to my indy to ever be worth it.
