...in the future....91 9KT...148,000 miles on it...dealer maintained through first 100,000 miles...combination indy and DIY since...runs well...looks fine..no major problems at present. What can I expect for repairs or replacement as it ages from this point on? I'm considering hanging onto this car as it seems to be something of a tank..just keeps going...going. What's a reasonable estimate of remaining life? I think I'm going to replace the DI as I suspect the beginning of a little rough ignition on rare occasions. Rebuilt trans. installed by dealer at 60,000. Timing chain break damaged top half of engine at about 50,000..dealer removed/repaired cyl head (new valves). Heater core replaced at 100,000. Blower motor at 140,000 (Probably should have done those together!)Turbo has had a whine since about 70,000 miles..dealer says needs replacement..haven't done anything about it since performance is fine. Brakes, exhaust, belt, plugs, filters current, most eletric operations function well(replaced driver's power window motor), little or no body rust, suspension components have rarely bothered (one CV joint). Is there any area I should be proactive on and avoid bigger repairs or breaking down in the future. Is 300,000 miles possible? Any input/advice/experiences would be appreciated. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving.
