...during a rainy spell and I immediately blamed the AIC, having had trouble with it before. Mine sporadically, about once a year, usually by idling high, but this time began pulsating between 1500 and 1800 rpm once every second. Very irritating at a red light!

When ignition is OFF, pull the connector off the AIC (a small rectangular device located on the firewall, high on the passenger side). Spray some WD-40 or contact cleaner in both connector ends, blow out the excess with compressed air, then re-connect. This might fix it like it did mine, 'til the next time water gets in the connector. I assume this is what is causing it since it only starts when the weather is wet.
