Hey everyone. I'm new to the 9000 board. I have owned 900T's for years. Today I went to look at an '86 9000T. My girlfriend wants it badly, so I guess we'll be getting it. A few questions though...1. The car only gets about halfway into the yellow under boost conditions. It is very sluggish taking off. When it gets to the half-way point of the yellow, it starts to "buck". This is a phenomenon that I have experienced, and fixed in my past 900's by replacing all the bad vacuum line. However, I checked under the hood and tried to find as many bad vaccum lines as I could, and there really weren't any that were very obvious. One thing that I did notice, though, was that there is a black plastic tube about 31/2" in diameter going from the driver's inside fender, to the A-arm area of the suspension. Whatever it is supposed to be connected to down there, it is not. It was dark down there, but I think I could see a fitting for it, and it had just come loose. Would this creat the vacuum leak that is affecting the boost? 2. The power sunroof is pathetically slow, if you can get it to work at all. What's the fix for this?. 3. The car also needs rear brakes bad. Same as 900, S, or 900 Turbo rear brakes? Please advise. I do my own work, and the car is priced right. Thanks to all who can help.
