Kyle,
I have been talking to the shop that did the governor seal repair on my car and have not resolved anything as of yet. I drive the same route to work every day and the car misses it's shift in the same place every time. My usual routine is to be running at least 5 minutes late, run out to the car, start it up, wait for a moment (although I,m not entirely sure why)and then I proceed to drive the approximatly 2 miles to work. During the drive I do not accelerate hard and the car shifts between 2500-3000 rpm. Even with such a conservative style of driving it will miss 4th gear the first time, every time. As I stated in my previous post once the car has warmed up the problem no longer exists. I confirmed this today by allowing my car to warm up before driving to work. The result of this inexpnsive test was normal shifting all the way along the same route. I am telling you this so that we can be sure our problems are the same. the shop I have chosen to talk to and probably employ to correct the problem is over 100 miles from my home so the phone diagnostic process will undoubtably be a slow one. As for having the transmission serviced, in reviewing the records and talking to the shop I found it to have been last serviced in september so they told me it was not necessary to do it again. They are a Saab only shop with a good reputation. there are no dealers within 150 miles of here so they are probably my best chance. If this sounds like the same thing I will let you know what I find out. Good luck, jason.
