Do you need snow capability, or just wet weather? If no snow, I've enjoyed my Bridgestone Potenza RE730's. Excellent wet or dry. I've also heard good things about Pirelli P7000's. Michelin Pilots have not gotten good press on this BB, although I can't say anything about them from experience. Firestone also makes a tire which is said to be tremendous in the wet, but I can't remember particulars.
If you have snow, the above tires are not good choices. For occasional, light snowfall, an all-season tire is the way to go, if you don't want to change tires. I live in Wisconsin, so I change to snow tires, which I have pre-mounted on steel rims. Michelin Arctic Alpins are tremendous, as are Bridgestone Blizzaks, but the Bridgestones' snow-type tread is limited to the outer 2/3 or so, so as they wear, they become merely an all-season radial. Not sure why they did that. I went with the Michelins for this reason.
