Thump,thump,thump...need advice Posted by Michael [Email] (#1365) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Michael) on Tue, 12 Dec 2000 13:06:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
95 9000CSE, It got really cold today and the drivers side front wheel area starts talking to me. Driving at about 30-40mph it makes a reg thump, thump, thump sound. When I slow down to about 10mph the noise goes away(or gets very quiet) or on acceleration it gets quiet or goes away. I don't think its the wheel bearing but something in the cv/trans area.Any suggestions or do I need to provide more info and if so what? It never made this noise before but just recently started making a sound when turning while stopped(backing out or pulling into a parking spot) like skipping a tooth on a gear, but it was not a reg occurance. For this I went to the dealer and the service manager told me to check to make sure everything was tight which I did. Thanks for any help.
