You are probably okay with this regimen. I wouldn't recommend AE's suggestion to go 20k on the oil with interim filter changes. The TBN (total base number) of most oils isn't more than 10 when new, and IMO this isn't sufficient to carry you past 10k, perhaps 15k max if your driving habits are ideal--i.e., no dusty conditions or extended idling, few short trips, and appropriate turbo cool-downs. The TBN is a numerical designation (higher is better) for how readily the oil can absorb acids, and as the miles accumulate this number decreases. Those that say you can go more likely haven't had their oil checked at a lab after this duration.
One caviat: If your car has a non-water-cooled turbo (pre-'87, I think), I would cut the change interval in half, regardless of the oil used.
About a year ago in their Technical Correspondence column, Road & Track magazine stated that most mainstream synthetics can go 10-15k without changing (3k for fossil oil), though they said nothing about filter changes. Your use of a semi-synthetic would cause me to opt for more frequent oil-change interval, as you are doing now. I go 10k with Royal Purple after having tested the oil at 5 and 10k intervals during my last change cycle, and use AC Delco Ultraguard Gold (UPF-53) synthetic-fiber filters with no interim change.
