did everything stopped when it happened and when you back off the throttle the engine comes back on.
If that is what you are experiencing then you have some problem but it's not a big one.
My guesses are:
BPC solenoid (usual cause but hard to check without using a known good one)
vacuum line leak (make sure those three lines from the BPC solenoid is good and intact)
spark plug (make sure you gap to .9 to 1 mm, usually you get underboost with the plugs than overboost)
DI cassette (not likely if your car runs well overall)
